About Me

From Contract Developer to Co-founder

Mobile engineer based in Islamabad, now co-founder and CTO of a US logistics company. I own the architecture and I write the code.

Hi there! πŸ‘‹ I started in native Android in 2019, moved to Flutter in 2021, and picked up React Native where a client's stack needed it. Since then 25+ apps have gone live on the App Store and Play Store: hotel booking, food delivery, shipping, business directories, scheduling. In May 2026 I co-founded Freightly, a US company building an all-in-one platform for Caribbean cargo operators, where the work is warehouse management, tenant billing, point of sale and CRM in one system instead of four stitched-together tools. I run the technical side and still ship the code. Client work continues alongside it, selectively.

  • BS Cyber Engineering Technology

University of Engineering & Technology, Taxila
    2017 - 2021

Graduated with a 3.36 CGPA, specializing in advanced cybersecurity, network protection, and secure software development. Combined strong academic performance with practical industry experience, developing a solid foundation in both security principles and mobile application development.

Experience

  • Co-founder & Chief Technology Officer

    Freightly, Inc., Wyoming, USA (Remote)
    May 2026 - Present

Technical co-founder of an all-in-one logistics platform for Caribbean cargo operators: warehouse management, tenant billing, point of sale and CRM in one system, where operators previously stitched together four tools. I own architecture, stack selection and delivery, and still write the production code. Flutter operations apps on a multi-tenant backend, with pilot deployments running in-market. Also shipping AI automation into live warehouse operations, on document and manifest handling where a wrong output costs an operator money rather than a retry.

  • Flutter Developer (Contract)

Solaranlagen Porrmann GmbH / Lieferking, Germany (Remote)
    Oct 2024 - May 2026

Sole frontend engineer across three production Flutter apps on a shared .NET backend: consumer ordering, restaurant partner app, and in-store POS terminal. Built the address system end to end, with Google Places autocomplete, a map-pin fallback, reverse geocoding, and a delivery-radius gate at checkout. Shipped distance-based delivery fees, multi-fulfillment checkout, menu and availability management, and receipt printing on POS hardware. Instrumented the platform for launch: Firebase Analytics across 50+ named business events, Crashlytics with custom keys, and a Flutter test suite grown to 429 cases.

  • Mobile Developer (Contract)

Independent clients, US, UK, Europe, Middle East (Remote)
    May 2024 - May 2026

Direct-client product work running alongside the Lieferking engagement. BoRoom, a business directory across 50K+ listings with Algolia search, Maps, events and an admin portal. GoCargo, package tracking with a warehouse web portal. Dayz Off, scheduling with RevenueCat in-app purchases. Built and launched Pennywise, an offline-first expense tracker with no login and no cloud, then rebuilt it in React Native. Clean Architecture, Bloc and Firebase across the set, with end-to-end store deployment on both platforms.

  • Flutter Developer

    Dtek.AI, Dubai, UAE (Remote)
    Aug 2023 - May 2024

Developed Swift Portal, Swift POS and the Guide project for retail and hospitality clients across the UAE, including a self-checkout POS system with multi-payment integration, receipt printing and real-time inventory management. Worked in a cross-functional team on Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines with Clean Architecture.

  • Flutter Developer

    HyperNym, Islamabad, Pakistan
    Dec 2022 - Jul 2023

Built production Flutter apps with Clean Architecture and unit and widget test coverage. Established GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines, cutting deployment time and making builds reproducible.

  • Mobile Developer

    Stash Technologies, Islamabad, Pakistan
    Aug 2019 - Nov 2022

Flutter Developer 2021 to 2022, Android Developer 2019 to 2021. Led development of the Pearl Continental Hotels app for Pakistan's premier hotel chain: booking, dining reservations, loyalty programme, payments and car rental. Built Tezz Delivery, a grocery delivery platform with real-time GPS tracking, driver dispatch and a multi-category catalogue. Shipped Pakistan Booking from concept to store as a native Android (Java) build, and deployed 10+ apps end to end on Google Play and the App Store.

What I Take On

  • Cross-platform icon

    Cross-Platform App Development

One codebase shipping to iOS, Android and web. Flutter or React Native, depending on what your stack and your team already run.

    Cross-platform development

Most of the 25+ apps I have shipped run on one codebase across both stores. That is the whole argument for cross-platform: you pay for one build, one test suite and one release process instead of two.

Flutter is my default after five years in it, and I reach for React Native when the client already has a JavaScript team or a Supabase backend. I will tell you which one fits before we start, and why, rather than defaulting to whichever I feel like writing.

Where it does not fit, I say so. Heavy background location, deep OS integration and anything that lives or dies on platform SDK release day are still better native.

  • Custom development icon

    Custom Mobile App Development

Multi-role systems: a customer app, a staff or partner app, and an admin portal on one backend. That shape is most of what I build.

    Custom mobile development

Lieferking was three Flutter apps on one .NET backend: consumer ordering, a restaurant partner app, and an in-store POS terminal. Tezz Delivery was a customer app plus driver dispatch. GoCargo was a consumer app plus a warehouse web portal. Freightly is the same pattern again, multi-tenant this time.

The hard part is never the screens. It is deciding where a permission is enforced, what a role can see, and what happens when two roles act on the same record at once. I have made those calls wrong before and I know which ones cost you later.

You own the repo from day one. I work on your GitHub, in branches and pull requests, so there is no handover event at the end.

  • UI/UX design icon

    UI/UX Design & Implementation

Turning a Figma file, or a rough sketch, into screens that hold up on a small Android phone and a tablet without redesigning twice.

    UI/UX design

I am an engineer, not a designer. If you bring a designer, I will build what they drew and push back where it will not survive a 320px screen or a 40-character German word. If you do not have one, I can work from references and ship something plain that functions, which is usually the right call for an MVP.

What I do own is the parts users actually feel: empty states, loading and error states, offline behaviour, form validation, and dark mode. Those are where most apps look unfinished, and they are almost never in the Figma file.

Pennywise is the honest example. The React Native version's UI came from Claude-generated mockups with no designer involved. It is on the Play Store, and the case study says exactly that.

  • Performance optimization icon

    App Performance Optimization

Finding out why the list stutters, why the cold start takes four seconds, and why the APK is 90MB. Then fixing it.

    Performance optimization

Performance work starts with a profile, not an opinion. Flutter DevTools for jank and rebuild counts, the size analyser for the bundle, Firebase Performance for what real devices see rather than what my machine sees.

The usual culprits are the same every time: a widget rebuilding the whole tree on every keystroke, images decoded at full resolution into a 100px thumbnail, and a list that builds all 2,000 rows instead of the twelve on screen. FlashList and lazy builders fix the third one in an afternoon.

I also do offline-first work, which is a performance problem wearing a different hat. Pennywise runs entirely on-device with no login and no network call, and Firebase-backed apps like BoRoom and GoCargo cache so they still open on a bad connection.

  • API integration icon

    API Integration & Backend Services

Wiring the app to whatever backend you have, and arguing with your backend engineer about the contract before it gets built.

    API integration

I have shipped against Firebase, Supabase, .NET REST APIs and GraphQL. If you already have a backend and a backend engineer, I work to their contract and negotiate the shape of it up front. On Lieferking that meant settling the address payload with the backend engineer before either side wrote code, which is cheaper than discovering the mismatch at integration.

If you do not have a backend, I will build one. Firebase when you need auth, push and a document store tomorrow. Supabase when you want real Postgres, row-level security and to leave later without a rewrite.

Also in scope: Stripe and in-app purchases via RevenueCat, Google Maps and Places, Algolia search, FCM push, and OAuth. Each of those is live in something on the portfolio below.

  • Deployment icon

    App Deployment & Maintenance

Getting it through App Store review and onto Google Play, then keeping it alive as the platforms change under it.

    Deployment and maintenance

I have taken 25+ apps through both stores, including the rejections. Store deployment is included in the project rather than billed separately: signing, provisioning, listings, screenshots, privacy declarations, and the back-and-forth with review when Apple wants something reworded.

After launch you get three months of free bug support. Beyond that, maintenance is real work and I price it as such, because every year brings a forced target SDK bump, a Flutter or React Native major, and at least one policy change that will pull your app down if nobody is watching.

Two of my longest relationships are maintenance, not builds: Parenting Hacks and a prank app at 10K+ downloads, both taken over from someone else and extended over years.
